78 year old man demands compensation for botched circumcision

A 78 year-old Topisi man says he wants compensation from the Ministry of Health, after a botched circumcision operation back in 2004, left him severely deformed and traumatized.

The pensioner, whose identity we cannot disclose at this stage due to the sensitivity of the injury and to protect his privacy, told Gabz FM news about his 12 years of suffering, in which he has gone around various government departments to seek justice and compensation to no avail.

He says these include the Office of the Ombudsman, the University of Botswana Legal clinic, the Ministry of Health Headquarters and the Office of the President.

The old man says he has consulted a specialist after numerous examinations by state doctors whom he felt sought to protect the doctor who operated him in their reports.

He went on to explain that the injury inflicted on him by the expatriate doctor who performed the operation have even affected his marriage as he had not been able to enjoy his conjugal rights since the botched operation.

He now wants about 1.2 million pula as compensation but he says so far all the Ministry of Health officials have offered him is counselling. Officials are yet to respond to the claims.

nulla e nessuna cifra gli potrà più restituirgli cio' ke ha perso x sempre.. ..
questa storia faccia almeno riflettere tutti sull'evitare di cadere in simili trappole.. truffe.. chiamate circoncisioni.. 100% hanno complicazioni.. 1 su 3 perde il pene.. l'1% causano la morte.. .. >.<
